This one-day workshop gives dance and classroom teachers, paraprofessionals, adaptive specialists and more, tools and strategies to spread the joy of dance to people of all ages and abilities. Led by Heidi Jones Eggert, Associate Professor of Dance and the Director of the “New Visions” Dance for Disability Program at the University of Montana, this intensive will include strategies to modify movement for a variety of movers, lesson planning, and a hands-on session where participants will work directly with students.

What is Adaptive Dance?
Adaptive Dance is creative movement designed specifically for people with special needs or varying developmental or physical ability. Our instructors and volunteers work closely with the individuals in class to move, express, and create in a fun, safe environment.
How much does it cost?
Classes are by donation. Donations can be made online or by check made payable to Cohesion Dance Project.
I am interested in volunteering, how do I get involved?
Helping out with Adaptive Dance is hugely rewarding – for volunteers, instructors, and dancers alike! Please contact us to learn more about volunteering with Adaptive Dance. Volunteers are required to attend training prior to each session, so please contact in advance.
How do I register a new student for class?
New student registration is a two-step process.
Step One: Online Registration
Click “Register” next to the appropriate class and fill out our online registration form.
Step Two: Intake Form
How do I register a returning student for class?
