About Us
We envision a community with an expanded perception of dance as an art form that fully embraces people of all ages, abilities, experiences, and backgrounds.
Since its founding in 2012, CDP has grown, diversified and flourished, providing contemporary dance training for community dancers, professional artists and people living with disabilities; staging multiple integrated professional performances each year; and conducting school and community outreach events through movement/arts education and adaptive dance classes for youth and adults with disabilities.

Cohesion Dance Project Values
CDP is deeply committed to the social, emotional, cognitive and physical development of every participant in its programs.
Growth
CDP is dedicated to creating an open and welcoming environment of mentorship, trust, cooperation and teamwork with dancers and artists who may not otherwise have the opportunity to work together in the creation and production of unique dance experiences.
Collaboration
Cohesion Dance Project creates a fun and lively, yet structured, environment resulting in performances and learning opportunities that entertain, educate, and delight participants and audiences of all ages.
Joy
Cohesion Dance Project upholds standards of behavior that contribute to a creative process that is trusting, fair, and structured.
Professionalism
What Makes Cohesion Unique...
Integrated Dance
Modern/Contemporary based technique classes and performances, including our flagship production of Shira Greenberg's Nutcracker on the Rocks, welcome dancers of all ages, levels, and abilities, including those with disabilities.
Adaptive Dance
Trained staff and volunteers facilitate dance and creative movement specifically designed for people with special needs and developmental disabilities.
Scholarship Exchange
We believe that ability to pay should not be an obstacle to participating in CDP classes and programs. Financial assistance is offered through unlimited, non-competitive scholarships where families trade all or a portion of their fees for volunteer time helping at the studio or with an event.
Cross-Community Collaboration
CDP coordinates collaborative performance opportunities and provides accessible, affordable rehearsal and performance space for dance, theater, fitness, and performance groups across the community.
